True North is a nine-month experience designed to equip college-aged students for missional living in the 21st century through Biblical training, cross-cultural ministry, and hands-on service.

Biblical Training: In the first half of the program, students study the Biblical narrative from Genesis to Revelation. In doing this, they are challenged to place themselves within the grand story of God's redemption and consider ways to share that story with contemporary culture. The second half of the year is used to study various topics relating to spiritual disciplines, ministry training, and leadership development.

Cross-Cultural Ministry: True North students will have the opportunity to travel internationally and domestically in order to learn what God is doing throughout the world and how His Truth is communicated in other cultures. We aim to train students to understand and interpret culture so that they will be adept at contextualizing the gospel in understandable ways, wherever they find themselves.

Hands-on Service: Ministry is about learning to serve others in an environment of grace. Two facilities and thousands of guests provide many opportunities for students to get involved in hands-on ministry. During the week, help is needed with many of the behind-the-scenes maintenance items on our properties, and the weekends are spent facilitating retreats for our groups. Whether cooking, cleaning, feeding horses, or painting a wall, students are challenged to learn about service as a way to worship God and apply classroom learning.
