Times spent in God’s outdoor classroom are unlike anything else.
They are times of adventure, challenge, fun, and learning that are not
soon forgotten. They are times of exploration as you backpack, canoe,
rock climb, or mountain bike. They are times spent listening to owls,
laughing at chipmunks, and gazing at hawks. They are times spent cooking
meals, pitching tents, and talking around campfires. They are times spent
away from the busyness of life in order to embrace the beauty and rest
of God’s creation.
However, our wilderness journeys involve much more than just traveling
through the outdoors… they are designed to truly be an adventure!
An adventure has some unknown outcomes and usually involves some level
of personal risk. Who takes the risks and helps determine the outcomes?
YOU! That’s right… your involvement in our journey will impact
the entire course of the trip. This is much more than just amusement or
entertainment, which requires little thought. Our journeys set the stage
for you to grow as an individual. Our wilderness journeys allow you to
develop character, perseverance, leadership, and decision-making skills.
You will also have the chance to interact with your other companions on
the trip which will allow you to form new friendships and develop interpersonal
skills. You will not only learn more about yourself and others, but you
will also learn more about God as we travel through and interact with
His creation. It is incredibly fun and incredibly valuable too. You will
not only take away awesome pictures and memories, but you will also leave
with skills that will continue to help you in life. |
